Hello. Tonight I gussied myself up in heavily discounted See by Chloe sourced on the cheap from the outnet and this divine Red Phoenix necklace and went to the Jean Brown Christmas Party. As is my Tradition.
The theme this year was Floral.
See that navy sparkletastic Anya Hindmarch clutch? Reader. I bought it.

Say what you will about Old Mr FF he is Always Working.
Can I just say that I luffed reading all the comments for the Blog's 3rd birthday? Thank you for writing them. Some of them made me Deadset Emotional and a bit teary.
I am touched that so many people are now speaking what can only be described as Fluent FF (Thanks Corinne from Quatar!) and that reading the blog has cheered so many of you up.
Please comment more often because the comments are my favourite part of the Blog.
The party Mrs Danvers threw for the Blog and everyone on the Side bar was a massive success. They got home at 5am and were unbelievably hungover. I spent the day dispensing ginger ale and aspirin.
Unsurprisingly the Scientists from the FF Institute for Scientific Research were the veritable Life and Soul of the party. Along with Butter (who Karl's asked to be the New Face of Chanel No 5) the Jersey Cow (who wore sequins and Louboutins) and the Normans, who weren't invited but crashed anyway. They ended up doing shots with Barbie in between smoking outside on the footpath with Jackie.
Look it's my blog and I'll make the in-jokes however I choose.
I have 4 Christmas parties in the next 3 days. How many have you got?
xxxx

Phew!
ReplyDeletetired already !
DeleteLove the new dress FF and keep those in blog jokes coming, they are a scream x x
ReplyDeleteyou are a STALWART happy birthday to the twins x
DeleteFF,
ReplyDeleteLoving all of those flowery dresses! I still can't get over the fact is summer over there. I'm freezing this morning!
is boiling here!!!
DeleteLovely dress, lovely party, great jokes!
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Lorraine
Just one - Mr SY's big bash in the city. Worst part will be waiting for forever for a cab after.
ReplyDeleteYou should drive! Last night I made Mr FF drop me and pick me up and will so the same tonight as is worst time to get a cab!!
DeleteGreat navy sparkle bag, gorgeous. Am snorting into my cup of tea reading about the blog's antics (can't sleep tonight). Enjoy the festive season FF!
ReplyDeleteLove your dress!
ReplyDeleteMr FF sure is dedicated.
He has to be- is always super busy and juggling clients.
DeleteHow frocktastic! I must say, the five floral frocks are fabulous, FF. A special mention goes to Mr FF lying under the tree...I've been waiting a while for that photo.
ReplyDeleteBest, BB from Melbourne X
The Baby loves lying all over his daddy!
DeleteOk FF I am an avid reader but rare commenter but can I now make a new year's resolution to comment more. It is either 1 month early or 11 months late your choice! Today is my birthday (48) uuggh so close to 50 how did that happen. My tree is going up on Saturday, I always like to celebrate my birthday before I get into Christmas! Much to my 6 year old daughters disgust as she can't wait to get the tree up. Am honored that the blogs birthday is so close to mine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a wonderfully entertaining blog
Michelle in Melbourne
I have a pair of leopard shoes just like those ones at Jean Brown. Mine were $11 from Target. Are they supplying to high end boutiques now? Navy clutch is fab.
ReplyDeleteLoving the updates on the blog's birthday party but really, that's no way for a three year old to behave! I hope the bouncers turned Mess and Clutter away at the door.
mess and clutter were let in (Karl got everyone in) and disgraced themselves as per usual.
Deleteso funny re Target shoes at JB!!
DeleteOh you all look so glamourous! That's what I love about your blog...everything is Deadset Glamourous, and I know I can always pop over here to get my fix when life is feeling a bit drab. Even the FF garden plagued by Old Testament conditions puts on a good face. Keep inspiring us, and thank you.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of leopard there in old Jean Brown. I approve! Thanks for the Twitter follow. I'll try and up my game now. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI did get a tweet from Carole Radziwil which made me all schoolgirl excited...almost as much as the one's from you. [I live a sheltered life].
You always make me LMAO.
YOU have an eventful life. The dress and cupcakes look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI have none! None I tell you! I thought I saw Mrs Danvers walking home at 3am carrying her shoes but I couldn't be sure. There was s cow with her, so all signs point to yes.
ReplyDeleteMrs Danvers is really mad that you said this. She denies this and is going to dish out some retribution.
DeleteYou don't scare me Danvers! I have Mess and Clutter on my side!
DeleteOk I'll stop now.
Thank you FF! My next trick is to get my lovely sisters (and fellow Lurkers) To Come The Hell Out and start commenting too. Loved your Jean Brown ensemble. Xoxo
ReplyDeletemy sisters have never ever commented!!! So yours should.
DeleteThe more the merrier!
Wow, the colours are just amazing, I'm in thermals!
ReplyDeleteErm...nop, no parties!
ReplyDeleteLove the pink dress. Looks great with the necklace. Glad the blog party was such a success. Hope everyone gets back to normal soon. The aspirin and ginger ale should help. Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday. I was very thrilled and honored. I felt like the queen herself had arrived on my lowly little blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have any parties coming up at the moment, mores the pity! How lovely do you all look in your floral attire. Your little boys hair is getting darker? He is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses, beautiful clothes, luscious food, and Baby FF sitting on his dad under the tree. I'm getting a little misty with all that goodness in one day. Good Times!
ReplyDeleteLooking gorgeous as always! And if anyone can get through those parties, it's you :) Cheers Judy xx
ReplyDeleteyou are a social butterfly , my christmas parties start in force next week. Monday I'm off to Hobart for work but excited havent been there before/.
ReplyDeleteA cow in Louboutins, you're a scream
No Christmas parties, but one hens party on Saturday that I'm organising for a gorgeous friend down on the Gold Coast. Can't wait to hit the beach the morning after. Love the in jokes on the blog. Hilarious! Looking forward to seeing your party outfits too! Your JB one was perfection
ReplyDeleteDear FF,
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to love about the JB party. I love love love the floral theme, it brings out the best obviously. The frock you actioned was the best.
Love daddy FF with baby FF on his lap,
I seriously nearly nearly nose snorted my coffee when I read about the party. So pleased you didn't need to call the party police out.
Have a great day.
B. x
Hi FF loving the outfits from the JB party! I have 3 parties in the next week but unsure whether I will attend any as I'm due to have a baby in 2 weeks but feel like its going to drop out any second! Am the only Victorian not complaining about the cold start to Summer don't think I could handle a QLD summer in my condition! Loving living the festive season vicariously through you! Keep up the glamour!!! x
ReplyDeleteWe've got snow! It's been really cold today.
ReplyDeleteWhat's a wish whisper? Quick, I need to know - I HAVE to enter that prize draw, I never win anything but I've got to at least try...
PPx
Happy 3rd Birthdaaaaay, FF! Can't believe I'm late to the party... It's my 1 year FF anniversary! ... Discovered you a year ago, when you were celebrating your 2nd B'day ( I'm one of your devotees, who has back-read every one of your posts! ) Congrats and THANK YOU yet again, for all the glamour, hilarity and loveliness you generously share with us
ReplyDeleteLOVE your JB Christmas Party get-up - stunning. And, your family shots with the tree, at brekkie... all, just beautiful
HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY!!!
Looks like a beautiful floral occasion. FF your See by Chloe is gorgeous. Love the photo of Little Man with the FF Christmas tree!
ReplyDeleteLove the pic with all those floral frocks- gorgeous! 1 Christmas party this week, although it won't be anywhere near as fun as the Blog's party!
ReplyDeleteDoes our 6 year old daughter's dancing Christmas party count! The highlight of the party will be the slip'n'slide! Oh the glamour!
ReplyDeleteAnna from Brizvegas
Dear FF, I commented on your blog birthday post for the first time and since you like comments, I will do it again. I am curious, is the lovely FF an introvert or an extrovert? I have too many social engagements coming up this month and find it all slightly overwhelming. Do you enjoy it or do you sometimes wish you could just stay at home?
ReplyDeleteJess x
Luff the photo of Mr FF and Baby, makes me smile. No Xmas parties but Swan Lake in the afternoon and Russell Brand tomorrow evening, an eclectic mix?
ReplyDeleteLisa xx
Luff the photo of Mr FF and Baby, makes me smile. No Xmas parties but matinee of Swan Lake followed by Russell Brand for son's bd, quite a mix?
ReplyDeleteLuff the new bag, wear it in good health.
Lisa xx
Absolutely love everything about what you're wearing! Gorgeous and such happy colours. And what a great party, all shades of fabulousness right there. I crave to get dressed up to the nines but 'the nines' for me indicates new bebe's last feed time and a reminder to get some sleep! This will change soon I'm sure! The only parties I have on are my little girl's 2nd birthday party, orange and pink themed you will approve I'm sure! And I will be rocking my favourite watermelon coloured maxi dress - and be matchy matchy with the bday bub of course! Lilly xx
ReplyDeleteLOVE your new bag! One Christmas party this weekend which will be a big one, but probably not quite as big as the blog's birthday party!
ReplyDeleteHi FF, finally commenting for the first time. I bet I will be hooked after this! As usual, it was such a fun night and such a great spectacle for the eyes with all the colour! Very jealous of your clutch, definitely have to go back for one. I prefer navy to black accessories. Enjoy all those Christmas parties, I love them! Charlotte xx
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny FF. Glad the Jersey had a good time and dressed up. With those eyelashes she's always going to be a winner and I just knew the scientists would be a hoot! Scientists usually are.

ReplyDeleteKarl, Mrs Danvers, mess and clutter don't scare me but a silent army of beehive gingers leave me feeling nervous.
ReplyDeleteWhy do floral when we can do FLORAL! I've only got one Christmas party, I plan to make the best of it. Or the most of it, depending how you see things:).
ReplyDeleteThe pictures alone are enough to make me feel like I am there. But then I realize I’m not. I have Christmas party envy. But still a wonderful vicarious happy-filled experience.
ReplyDeleteA Christmas toast to you...
Every gift
No matter how small
Is in reality
A special gift
If given from the heart.
So, give what you have.
Because the gift you give today
Enriches everyone around you.
Sylvan
I'm with Claire - those sinister beehive gingers make me slightly edgy.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend only one party here on The Farm and one exceptional Christmas concert put on by The Farmchildren's school. Concert last night and obviously The Farmchildren covered themselves in glory. Tonight dinner at a fancy schmancy restaurant in Perth. I need to raid the wardrobe and pull out some sort of frock.
Fortunately I go by the Maggie Alderson school of frock buying and buy them when I see one I truly love because somewhere will always come up to wear it. (If you try and buy one under pressure with an occasion in mind then you can never find what you want.) So I have a couple of frocks I can pull out for this evening.
I hope you have a fabulous party weekend. I am coveting the orange necklace and may have to pop by RPE. Alternatively may just pop a link on an email to The Farmer and ask him to forward it to Santa....
Oh love the blue clutch . Very jealous as a good clutch is so hard to find. Belated congratulations for your 3rd birthday. Luff it 11/10.
ReplyDeleteJo
The floral frocks are floraltastic, so much beautiful colour. I also love your striped get-up around the home. Relaxed and gorgeous. Our Christmas do's this weekend are fairly child focused and unglamerous but I will happily turn it all around midweek with a quick trip to Sydney for work Christmas do, hooray for a return to civilisation!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful party and love your Christmas gorgeous-ness ! Delightful. And your sparkle Anya. Adore our Anya... And have been buying a few 'sparkle, arkle' bits myself recently too.. (read all about on my last post!) Gosh, cannot believe 3 years have passed by for the blog.. Happy belated blog birthday.... S xxx
ReplyDeleteI thought you said at the beginning of the summer season when you bought the tote at Jean Brown that you weren't buying anything else for the season?
ReplyDeleteBag was a Gift.
DeletePity! Hope they lend it back to you, as I'd love to see that some more! Looove Navy accessories! If fact looking for a navy necklace, will head over to RPE now!
DeleteP xx
Only one Christmas party to attend...certainly not as glamorous as the Jean Brown party with Hardcore High End Designer Bargains being actioned.
ReplyDeleteAdore your new clutch.
Catherine from Brisbane
Oh the color of those frocks! What a cheer up!
ReplyDeleteWe had a going away party for our Swedish friends last night, a bit teary we'll miss them! We are giving a party for the office that I'm excited about. I'm going to wear a green dress.
LUFF your sparkly blue clutch, there's no way I could have resisted that one!
No Christmas parties for me this week (a few drinks things next week)... off to Hong Kong and China for a few days tomorrow. Sadly it's work and it doesn't look like I'll have a spare second for fun (or as some would call it shopping!). Bit sad really but at least it means I am not away from the little people too long.

ReplyDeleteHi FF, you and my gorgeous friend Cathrine helped me discover the divine RPE. Also love pic of self with you at JB. I am off to work off some of the cals from the four Xmas dos over weekend. Love the festive season! We r going to visit Santa today - I can't wait.
